About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Ufuk: Journal of Indonesia–Türkiye Studies is an open-access, peer-reviewed 
academic journal dedicated to facilitating intellectual exchange between Indonesia 
and Türkiye in the fields of social sciences and humanities.

The word "Ufuk" (Turkish for "horizon") metaphorically represents the power of 
thinking, breadth of understanding, forward-looking vision, and openness to new 
ideas. This journal embodies these principles as its scholarly mandate, aspiring 
to build a shared space where Indonesia and Türkiye, as two horizons of thought, 
can expand, read, critique, and learn from each other.

Peer Review Process

All submissions undergo rigorous double-blind peer review. Each manuscript 
is evaluated by at least two expert reviewers in the relevant field. The 
review process typically takes 4-8 weeks.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle 
that making research freely available to the public supports greater global 
knowledge exchange. All articles are published under the Creative Commons 
Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

Publication Frequency

Ufuk publishes two issues per year:
